CMS Announces the Therapize For America Program
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), announces today the beginning of the Therapize For America program.
This new program connects young mental health professionals with senior communities, fostering intergenerational bonds while addressing the critical need for accessible mental health support among older adults.
"This program is tackling two critical issues simultaneously: the mental health crisis among our aging population and the need for specialized training in geriatric care for our next generation of therapists," said the CMS representative. "Therapize for America isn't just about providing mental health support; it's about bridging generations and fostering a society where every senior feels valued and understood."
