USCIS Announces The American Values Assessment
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), announces today the establishment of The American Values Assessment.
The USCIS unveils The American Values Assessment, a groundbreaking citizenship program that evaluates aspiring and current Americans' commitment to core values through real-world scenarios, transforming citizenship from a static status into an active demonstration of character.
"The American Values Assessment reflects what we've always known: that being American is about how we treat each other, not just what we know about our history," said the USCIS representative. "For too long, we've tested citizenship through paperwork. Now, we'll see it demonstrated through actions that reflect our nation's core values."
