CRS Establishes the National Policy Competition

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Congressional Research Service (CRS), announces today the establishment of the National Policy Competition.

This new groundbreaking initiative gives American citizens the opportunity to directly allocate a portion of the national budget. Over the course of a week, representatives will present policy proposals that are not currently included in the upcoming budget. Citizens will then have the power to vote on which policies should be incorporated into the next year's budget.

“This initiative turns regular citizens from spectators into active participants. It's like if the judges on our favorite competition shows were the entire country, and the grand prize is a better future for all of us,” said the CRS representative. “This is Democracy's Got Talent! It's time we bring the excitement of primetime TV to civic engagement.”

Tune in during the month of September.
