CBP Opens The First National Border Crossing IMAX Experience
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), announces today the opening of the first National Border Crossing IMAX Experience.
This new experience mandates all entrants, regardless of citizenship or purpose for entering the U.S., to view a regularly updated, language-specific IMAX film at border crossing points, providing an immersive, comprehensive overview of American life and society, allowing for informed entry decisions.
"Our goal is to give every entrant a realistic preview of life in the US. It's not all Hollywood glamour, but it's not all hardship either. We aim for honesty above all," said the CBP representative. "We're showing immigrants and citizens alike the America they might not see on the news or in their daily lives. It's about filling in the blind spots, challenging assumptions, and creating a shared understanding of our complex national tapestry.”
